It is always a special treat when local artist Mat O’Donnell visits the Wiscasset Public Library’s Story Hour!  Mat read Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown and had great interaction with the children as they watched the little bunny transform into all of his ideas for escape.  The second book that Mat read was Curious George Visits A Toy Store by Margret Rey that shows what kind of excitement can happen when a monkey decides to help get all of the toys off the highest shelf.

After reading, everyone was thrilled to sing along with Mat to Old McDonald Had a Farm, Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Alphabet Song, and many more favorite classics!

In honor of Earth Day, we will meet Wednesday, April 22  from 12-1 at the children’s room to do some community cleaning and planting around the library property instead of story hour.  Wiscasset Public Library is located at 21 High Street and all are welcome.
