The Talking continues at the Wiscasset Public Library on Wednesday April 19 at 3:00.  This next Town Talk will be a recalling of stories of personalities often referred to as “local characters”.  Many of these folks left us with fond and sometimes humorous memories of their times living here in the Wiscasset area. Come share and contribute with others this intriguing bit of the past.

The March Town Talk was an informative discussion of the Wiscasset Fire Society.  Pictures, books and stories helped to shed light on this centuries old organization that was started by a group of businessmen to provide fire protection for their properties. The organization and some of the historical equipment still exists.  There is much more to learn.
