2018 annual training sessions for vibrio control plan scheduled

    All harvesters of oysters or hard clams in the Damariscotta River and New Meadows and dealers buying products directly from harvesters in the Damariscotta River and New Meadows must attend an annual training session.

    If you would like to prepare your vibrio control plan ahead of time and bring it to the session with you, we can go over it at that time for any clarifications needed. Forms are included with this packet.

    There will be four sessions; attendance is only required at one.

    --Wednesday, Jan. 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the West Bath Fire Department at 192 State Rd. West Bath.

    --Thursday, Jan. 11 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the DMR West Boothbay Harbor facility, 194 McKown Point Rd.

    --Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the West Bath Fire Department at 192 State Rd. West Bath.

    --Thursday, Jan. 25 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the DMR West Boothbay Harbor facility, 194 McKown Point Rd

    Proof of participation will be sent to Marine Patrol.

    Once you have successfully attended a training session and submitted an approved vibrio control plan, you will be sent a certificate to carry with you of proof of certification.
