Accident causes power outages in Lincoln County

A Jeep traveling northbound on Route 27 slammed into a utility pole in Edgecomb, causing power outages in Lincoln County at 2:07 p.m. on October 31.

As of 4:04 p.m., 525 people are still without power, according to the outages listed by Central Maine Power.

Route 27 was closed temporarily for 10 minutes while workers attempted to restore power, according to Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

As of 4:03 p.m., Route 27 had been reopened in all lanes.
