Alexis (Lexie) Miller, daughter of Jeffrey H. and Audrey Miller of East Boothbay, graduated from Kents Hill School on May 27.

She had an outstanding high school experience that included four years of Chinese, high-level AP classes, and seasons of fencing. She was an honors student and won many awards over the four years, including the Crystal Chase Award for the outstanding freshman girl, two Coaches Awards for fencing, and two Director’s Awards for drama. She was the youngest girl to be named captain of the fencing team in her years at Kents Hill, and was a team captain for three seasons, earning many medals at USA Fencing competitions.

She continued her love of music by playing the flute and singing. She excelled in all areas of the drama department, being a part of all 20 productions put on in her four years there, doing everything from being an actor onstage to the school's stage manager and lead theater tech for three years.

In addition, Alexis was accepted into the Peer Counselor program for two years, and was an ambassador for the program as well as an official peer mentor. She was also vice president of the school's chapter of Amnesty International for two years, and president for one year. She received the Smith College Book Award in her junior year, and was inducted into the National Honor Society her senior year.

Alexis begins attending Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont this fall.
