Members of Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights (GRR) and students from Bowdoin College will share experiences related to unintended pregnancies and difficult choices at a forum Tuesday, May 9 at the Curtis Library in Brunswick. The meeting begins at 4 p.m.

The forum will focus on the importance for women of childbearing age to continue to have access to sexual and reproductive health care – rights being threatened by legislatures across the nation.

GRR members represent millions of grandmothers across the nation who are deeply concerned about trends in this country to reverse reproductive rights that their generation fought so hard to acquire.

The grandmothers will share personal stories of what life was like before the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision when abortion was illegal and access to contraception was limited, and even illegal in some states.

Students from the Bowdoin College NARAL pro-choice group have joined with GRR to make sure that these rights are not taken away from them and from future generations.
