‘Animal Alchemy’ fabric art show at River Arts

A welcoming reception will be held on Friday, Sept. 22 from 5-7 p.m. in the West Gallery at River Arts for "Animal Alchemy," a solo show of Linda Shepard’s fabric art wall hangings. The show will run through Oct. 18.
These wall hangings are created by using hundreds of fabric pieces to design each subject. Shepard has focused on animals, birds, reptiles, and insects; as the natural world lends itself to unlimited color.
Shepard’s intent is to celebrate the ordinary. Sometimes with humor, whimsy, reverence, or with an eye toward the dream world.
