Dear Editor:

We would like to thank the dedicated volunteer firefighters of Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay and Southport for saving our house when the fire in our garage (in March) threatened to spread. It is easy to forget about our town volunteers who give of themselves and their time to keep us safe and healthy. We are lucky to have them and are eternally grateful.
