Wed, 10/04/2017 - 3:00pm

Rhonda Selvin, a nurse practitioner and expert in energy work from Boothbay Harbor, will lead a study group at the non-profit Waypoint Foundation at Key Largo, run by former Boothbay Harbor resident and Waypoint president, Clarice M. Yentsch, beginning Friday, Oct. 6. The Sound Healing and Therapy Study Group will meet at the St. James the Fisherman Episcopal Church in Islamorada, Florida, Oct. 6-8.

In a press release, Yentsch states, “Sound Therapy, first described in ancient scriptures, has been a powerful and effective tool for promoting good health and well-being for thousands of years.”

The weekend event is “to learn and share various tools, techniques and practices for self care and the care of others.” This Study Group, focusing on vibrations vs. music per se, is a practticum that will give the presenters the opportunity to share why they have become advocates of Sound Therapy, according to the release.
