On Dec. 14, residents and their family members gathered at St. Andrews Village for a festive Christmas celebration complete with a special visit by Mrs. Claus. Sponsored by the St. Andrews Auxiliary, this annual event is meant to bring the joy of Christmas to those who make their home in the Gregory Wing at St. Andrews. In addition to the energizing holiday atmosphere, residents enjoy wonderful edible treats and receive gifts carefully chosen for each of them. One has only to catch the twinkle of an eye or the humble words of thanks to recognize the importance of bringing holiday celebrations, and especially Christmas, to this very cherished population.

Jerie Phinney, activities director for the Gregory Wing, Safe Havens and the Zimmerli Pavilion, encourages all who are interested in helping to enhance the quality of life for residents to come and volunteer your time and/or talents at St. Andrews Village.
