A Bath man escaped injury on March 24 following a River Road single vehicle accident. Around 5:30 p.m., Daniel Soto, 48, was driving his 2003 Ford Focus south on the River Road. As he approached Route 27, he lost control of his vehicle.

According to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Rand Maker, Soto went through the intersection and hit a snowbank.

“It appears the driver was unfamiliar with the road and blinded by the sun,” Maker said.

The vehicle sustained over $1,000 damage to its front, according to the accident report. Maker said no charges are pending.
