Reading Joe Gelarden's recent column about shopping locally reminded me of the need to write this letter, one I've been meaning to write for sometime.

My wife and I have spentthe last 10 or so summers in the Boothbay region, leasing a spot in East Boothbay,so we have shopped at Grover's Hardware on numerous occasions.We wanted to go on record and say that Grover's Hardware is the best there is.We've yet to leave the store without finding what we needed and we've yet to leave the store without at least two, and oftentimes more than two, friendly people askingif they could help us. The level of customer service offered at Grover's is exceptional.

That being said, our experience with all of the local shops and businessesthroughout the Boothbay region has been very, very positive. But I've shopped at hardware stores all my life, and have been in more than I care to remember, and Grover's is the best.
