During the month of February, the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library (BHML) is hosting a solo exhibition of Maine artist Sandy Harper’s paintings in the upstairs Community Room during normal library hours.

Since 1988 Sandy has lived and worked in rural central Maine where she has her studio. For over 30 years the beauty of Maine has inspired Sandy to paint seascapes, coastal villages and lighthouses, as well as inland landscapes. Her oil paintings, rendered in a realistic style, reflect her deep appreciation of the light, shapes and colors found in nature. As a result of much time spent in the Midcoast area, Boothbay Harbor and its environs are frequently featured in her work.

Sandy’s award winning work can be found in private collections throughout the country and has appeared in solo and group shows in New York, Massachusetts and Maine.  Sandy Harper is an artist member of the Boothbay Region Art Foundation and an associate member of the Oil Painters of America.

Her paintings and prints can be viewed online at: www.sandyharperpaintings.com
