On Thursday, May 25, Richard Burt of Boothbay Harbor was presented in the Maine Senate with a Legislative Sentiment from Senator Dana Dow (R-Lincoln) recognizing his retirement after a nearly 30-year career at the State House.

Richard began working at the State House in 1988, starting with minor renovations, and served as the main architect responsible for major renovations from 1998 to 2001.

“My colleagues and I are all very appreciative of Mr. Burt’s dedication and decades of service,” said Sen. Dow. “It is because of his hard work that our State House has been restored. I wish him well as he takes his next step into retirement.”
