The Boothbay lacrosse team knows it will host a playoff game June 7. The only question remaining is who the Seahawks will play. Boothbay capped a 10-2 regular season May 31 defeating Winslow, 10-5, at Thomas College in Waterville. The victory clinched fourth place in the Class B North standings. Boothbay hosts No. 5 Saint Dominic Academy in Auburn at 4 p.m. at Sherman Field. Saint Dominic Academy finished 7-5 in the regular season. The two teams didn’t play each other this season.

Boothbay finished the regular season with a six game winning streak and moved from seventh to fourth place in the Heal point standings. The final regular season game was similar to most Seahawk matches this year with Sydney Meader scoring the most goals. Meader scored five times against Winslow. Other Seahawk scorers were Kate Friant with three and Jackie McLoon and Lincoln Hamblett with one goal and one assist each. Goalie Page Brown made eight saves.

The regular season ended Thursday, June 1. Cony plays Oceanside and Saint Dominic Academy plays North Yarmouth Academy.

The Maine Principals Association has set the date for quarterfinal matches, but a time won’t be scheduled until the regular season concludes.
