    The Boothbay Region Community Band will present its annual - and  free - Christmas concert at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 as part of the Gingerbread Spectacular at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor.

    Selections to be played include “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Appalachian Carol,” “Somewhere in My Memory,” “Greensleeves Rhapsody,” “Symphonic Prelude on Adeste Fidelis,” and “Auld Lang Syne.”

    Band members performing in this concert are: Band Director Mark Phillips on tuba; Susan Wilson and Angela Machon on flutes; Christine Rubicam, Diane Randlett and Becky Roberts on clarinets; Paulette Carter, saxophone; Dottie Brewer, baritone; John Van Dyke and Bill Walsh, trombones; Douglas Long and Curt Boot, trumpets; Tiffanie Pepa and Sharon Machon-Ames – percussionists.

    The Opera House is located at 86 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor.

    This band, formerly the Boothbay Region Alumni Community Band, is always interested in adding more musicians. If you are interested in joining the region's band, come to this show and speak with Mark Phillips after the performance. Rehearsals resume in April for the band's 2016 show dates.
