On Saturday, Aug. 19, the Boothbay Region Ambulance Service is hosting a Red Sox Alumni celebrity softball game with the help of New England Charitable Promotions. Former Red Sox players Bill Lee, Ken Ryan, Jim Corsi and Billy Jo Robideau so far have confirmed their attendance.

BRAS welcomes the community to join them at Sherman Field to watch BRAS try once again to best the Red Sox!

The benefit of the fundraiser is earmarked to replace one of BRAS's four stretchers. The $15,000 fundraiser goal will be met by the generosity of Midcoast businesses advertising in the program and ticket sales.

"There is no direct community solicitation and we hope to be joined by as many as possible in the community for an afternoon of family fun," said Scott Lash, BRAS director of operations.

Tickets will be sold at the event and 100 percent of all concessions and ticket sales the day of the event will go towards the project.
