Over the years, the Boothbay Region Garden Club has supported advanced education for local students pursuing studies in ecology, horticulture, conservation, marine biology or earth sciences through its scholarship program. A unique feature of the BRGC scholarship program is that students will receive funding for all four years of their undergraduate study. For the 2018-2019 academic years, the club will donate a total of $7,000 to three students enrolled in environmental studies programs at Goucher College, Eckerd College and Clark University.

The club also supports the YMCA Campership Program which funds the attendance of deserving children at Camp Knickerbocker. The camp seeks to forge friendships, encourage potential, celebrate achievements, and explore new adventures. Through activities like beach play and swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sports, arts and crafts, field trips, and an adventure course, strives to build leadership, self-esteem and provides character-building opportunities through structured activities with that purpose in mind. In 2018, the club will donate $5,000.00 to this program.

Funding for scholarships and the YMCA Campership Program comes from proceeds generated by the annual Home and Garden Tour, Festival of Trees, spring plant sale and other events sponsored by the BRGC.
