The Boothbay Fire Department responded to single vehicle accident near the department's station on Route 27 in Boothbay the morning of April 10.

Chief Richard Spofford was the incident commander and requested that the vehicle be extricated from the woods where it had come to a stop after going off the road. The vehicle was heavily damaged and required towing.

The driver exited the vehicle on their own accord but was brought by ambulance to Miles Memorial Hospital.
