Dear Editor:

I wanted to thank The Community Center for making my transition to retirement an easy task.  I moved here 14 years ago and have spent most of that time working full-time “off peninsula” so when it was time to retire I didn't know many of the local people.  I decided to give the center a try.  I started by taking Mahjong lessons and joined the weekly game there. I have made friends and had many good times.  I moved onto Salsa Dance class and tried a field trip. Every step of the way I have met friendly, helpful people from instructors, volunteers, participants and the Director Jane Good. 

We are, indeed, lucky to have such a valuable resource in our community.  My retirement would not have been as easy or enjoyable without the wonderful Community Center.
