Move over Scottie, Ben, Phil, Tiger and the like for Southport's very own golfer extraordinaire, Tom Blake, has been officially retired from the Masters’ Golf Championship Tournament recently after 25 years of stellar service as the gallery guard for Hole 11! I personally thought that after 25 years of unwavering, loyal service, that Tom would have been sent off into retirement with his very own Green Jacket. Instead he was given the yellow flag from Hole 11, signed by all notables plus two Masters tickets for the rest of his life!

 

Best in "retirement" Tom! Does this also mean you're going to start once again hitting golf balls from one shore to the other at the head of Pierce Cove?
