Special guest artist Daniel Burr will share his lively, bold color paintings in our living room during the Twin Village Artwalk. Meet Burr on July 17, 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the artist reception, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and view his creative work. Art will be on display from 4 to 7 p.m.

Burr utilizes brushes, palette knives, and paper towels to create the luminescence and depth of thin gazes to the bold fresh tactile texture of impasto.

“Nature remains my biggest inspiration as the light upon it is the spirit of life. Color is the fruit as my journey touches and shapes a symphony that I can see. I begin a painting as an abstract with quick and ready insight to simple masses and patterns,” Burr said. “I then build on that by emphasizing relationship versus a particular element. Becoming fully engaged and energized I dance in places unseen. That is the eternal spirit of light. Inspiration is limitless.”

Artists will donate 25 percent of the sale of their work to Lincoln Home Resident Financial Assistance. The Lincoln Home, a nonprofit, takes no state monies of any kind but  endeavors to provide assistance to those who need help.
