The Chocolate Church Arts Center will prove that talent runs in the family the weekend of June 3 and 4 during two evenings of unforgettable indie folk music performed by duos of brothers at 7:30 p.m. On Friday, June 3, The DuPont Brothers debut their musical kindred synergy for an intimate concert in the Curtis Room. The following evening, June 4, Chuck and Steve Romanoff return to the main stage as the incomparable Schooner Fare.

Zack and Sam DuPont showcase versatile songwriting talent, blood harmonies and fingerstyle guitar arrangements. Krister Rollins, who produces musical acts featured on the local television show 207 on WCSH 6, describes them as, “excellent musicians. They’re each incredible guitarists in their own right - get ready for some deft fingerpicking - and their voices blend together with the kind of practiced familiarity that one expects HAS to come from, well, family.”

The indie folk duo The DuPont Brothers have played with national acts including Grace Potter, Sturgill Simpson, Bahamas, Jerry Douglas, Langhorne Slim, Blake Mills, Howie Day, The Lone Bellow, Ben Sollee, Horse Feathers and Chris Eldridge and Julian Lage. Seats are limited for this special engagement in the Curtis Room. Tickets are $10 in advance and $14 at the door.

Brothers Chuck and Steve Romanoff continue their 41st year as Schooner Fare with the return engagement Saturday, June 4 on the main stage. Schooner Fare is synonymous with Maine music and Down East humor and a must-see for natives, transplants or visitors to our Pine Tree State. Schooner Fare performs lively concerts to folks of all ages, singing such signature original songs as Portland Town, Day of the Clipper, We the People, and Scuttlebutt.

For decades at the Chocolate Church, Schooner Fare is a tradition. Audiences enjoy and sing along to numerous original songs on both contemporary and traditional themes, as well as topical songs, country ballads, and maritime masterpieces.

Tickets, $22/advance and $25/door, are available through the box office: 207-442-8455 and online: www.chocolatechurcharts.org.
