Ecumenical Good Friday service at St. Columba's

The Seven Last Words of Christ, a Boothbay area ecumenical Good Friday prayer service, will be on April 14 at 2 p.m. at St. Columba's Episcopal Church located at 32 Emery Lane in Boothbay Harbor. Along with congregational hymn singing, lay and ordained speakers from Boothbay area churches will offer a series of brief prayer reflections on the seven last words of Christ.

In addition, the Stations of the Cross prayer service will be held at 1 p.m. on Good Friday prior to the 2 p.m. Ecumenical Service at St. Columba's. The church will be open all day for quiet meditation. All are welcome.

Speakers at the Ecumenical Good Friday service include The Rev. Dr. Sarah Foulger and Ginger Rickeman from the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor; Tammy Judkins, Dan Giles and Pastor Richard Rego from the Boothbay Region United Methodist Cooperative; Dan Jameson and The Rev. Maria Hoecker from St. Columba's Episcopal Church.
