Eighth annual Champagne on the Sheepscot fundraiser for Midcoast Conservancy

Thu, 08/25/2016 - 8:30am

Spend a bucolic evening on the shores of the Sheepscot River, sipping champagne and enjoying hors d’oeuvres while Lincoln Academy student jazz combos provide the soundtrack. And if that’s not enough, ticket sales support the work of Midcoast Conservancy, promoting healthy lands, waters, wildlife, and people in Midcoast Maine through conservation, education, and outdoor recreation. Join us on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., at the home of Judy and Ralph Doering, who have generously opened up their spectacular Sheepscot Village peninsula to the event.

In addition to champagne, a full bar and wine stations will be located around the property. Food will be prepared by a team of talented Midcoast Conservancy volunteers, ably assisted by local caterer Kristin Stone. Wander the fields and shoreline trails and meet or greet friends and fellow conservation supporters.

Major sponsors of this year's event include Ames True Value Hardware & Supply in Wiscasset, Soule, Soule & Logan, Big Barn Coffee, ReVision Energy and First Advisors; other local businesses have also contributed, including Treats and Sheepscot Valley Brewing. For the eighth year, flowers are being donated by Sheepscot Flower Farm.

Tickets are $45 per person, and are available now until Sept. 9 from Midcoast Conservancy by calling 389-5150, or emailing ali@midcoastconservancy.org.
