Dear Editor:

From afar, we are writing to thank you for Robert Mitchell’s photo article of Nov. 9 about Gary Snowman. The article brought back fond memories of one of our annual visits to the Harbor and in particular to Southport Island Town Landing.

Some years back we had the great pleasure of gazing down on the Dolphin from the edge of the Landing and meeting Mr. Snowman. He kindly gave us a wonderful tutorial on the economics of lobstering. He was most personable and willing to share with us tourists. We wish him all the best.
