Join retired Lieutenant Colonel Taylor Beattie on Monday, July 11 from 3 to 4 p.m. to learn more about the Lost Battalion — the name given to nine companies of the U.S. 77th Division, roughly 554 men, isolated by German forces during World War I. He will speak at The Lincoln Home, located at 22 River Road, overlooking the Damariscotta River, in Newcastle.
