Expressing sincere gratitude

    Dear Editor:

While having a wonderful day enjoying our BRGC tour of homes and gardens last Friday, I abruptly found myself and my car in a big hole. We had a traffic obstruction as I was leaving one of the homes and as I tried to make my way around it, the right front tire of my car found an unexpected hole and dug itself in.

It was clear to me, my friends in the car and bystanders that I was not going any where without the help of a tow truck to pull me out. Before I could retrieve my phone to call for a tow truck, my car was immediately surrounded by about 10 people who began discussing how get it out of this predicament. They organized themselves into a plan of human strength and to my amazement and joy I watched my car being lifted out of the hole.

A most sincere thank you to all of you who came to my rescue on Friday.Because of your concern for my situation and what could have been a bad end to my fun day, we were able to be on our way to continue our tour. Your immediate action and group effort to resolve my situation is deeply appreciated and it has provided me with a cherished and happy memory of the day.
