Members of the Plein Air Painters of Maine (PAPME) and the Oil Painters of America (OPA), gathered at locations around the Grimes Cove-Ocean Point area of East Boothbay on Sept. 7 for the OPA Paint Out.
Forty-one painters' impressions of the natural beauty of the area were interpreted in acrylics, oils, watercolors and pastels on panels and canvas.
Corinne McIntyre, of Ocean Point Studios/Visions of Maine, coordinated the event. McIntyre is a founding member of PAPME with Ron and Monique Parry and Roger Milinowski many palettes ago.
Of the event, held in association with the 5th annual Harbor Fest’s A Stroke of Art, McIntyre said, “All of the painters were happy wielding their brushes!”
