Ed Brown’s Wharfside Gallery welcomes guest artist/jeweler-in-residence, Diane Nummi, Wednesday, Oct. 4 through 11.

Diane became enamored with beading 10 years ago after attending a bead and gem show and revels in working with all colors and textures, semi-precious to glass, pearls to paper.

Diane particularly enjoys creating affordable custom pieces for her customers, be it “be-jeweling” an entire wedding party, or beading on the fly for the lucky customer who happens upon her in the galleries where she sells her work.

“I never met a bead I didn’t like,” says Diane.   “I don’t have a specific style – that is too limiting.  I enjoy working with different mediums and trying new designs so that no two pieces are identical. Working with so many beautiful beads is both therapeutic and fulfilling.”

Wharfside Gallery invites you to stop in and meet Diane, where she will be offering a variety of beaded works and creating new pieces on-site at 31 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor.
