Dear Editor:

Both Dale Harmon and Steve Lewis have our votes for Boothbay Selectmen. They have proven themselves time and again to be open-minded, considerate of opposing points of view, and willing to make the tough decisions necessary for the good of the town. They grew up in the region, are active in the work force, their children have attended local schools, and their extended families live here. They truly know and understand the community far better than any other candidate. They understand the importance of a viable school system. They understand growth and change are critical for the economic health of the region, but recognize that not all growth is good.

Although we appear to lump them together as a pair, Steve and Dale are independent minded, frequently falling on opposite sides of a vote, but always doing what they feel is best for this community as a whole. They have both earned our votes, and we hope yours as well.
