High tide Oct. 9: Call for photos

Mon, 10/06/2014 - 7:30am

The Gulf of Maine King Tides Project is calling on Mainers to photograph how the astronomical high tide on Oct. 9 affects wharves, causeways, marshes, beaches, and other coastal settings!

Your photos will help document current coastal flooding risks and visualize what may, with sea level rise, become the new tidal norm along Maine's 7,500-mile coastline.

Participants can upload their photos to the King Tides project on the MDI Bio Lab's citizen science portal, Anecdata.org: http://www.anecdata.org/projects/view/59
