Local artist Hilary Bartlett will be exhibiting at the lobby of The First, N.A. bank in Boothbay Harbor during August and September.

Bartlett works exclusively with watercolors and acrylic inks because she relishes the fluid spontaneity of the mediums.

Sometimes the composition and values are predetermined, but she also loves to paint intuitively. These images, derived from her imagination, often reflect the mood of places she has visited and her passion for underwater life.

Her work has been exhibited in numerous shows at Maine Galleries and some of her pieces have won awards.

She is currently represented by Fore Street Gallery in Portland.
