Many of the Boothbay Region Elementary School Special Education Composite Room students from 1977 to 2020 gathered at their teacher Toby LeConte’s home for memories and a History Party on Sunday, March 24. This date is also her former student, Michael Hutchins’ birthday.

The current students have been interested in local people and how they have made history and wanted to be part of the planning of this event. Many came and some parents did as well. Their children signed 22 old-fashioned desks that they used to have in their classroom so they, too, can become a part of history. The desks are headed off to Powderly, Kentucky to be a part of the Spring Ridge School.

Tina Louise Peaslee and Travis Scott Paine were some of the former students in attendance. Food for all despite no power and bad weather. Everyone had such a good time.
