If you live in a house that’s more than a few decades old, you might wonder about its history. What were the circumstances surrounding its construction? What families lived there before you moved in? You might even wonder about the evolution of the home’s structure as it has undergone home improvement.

Much can be learned about the history of most properties and Peggy McRae will share her experience in house history research in an informal talk sponsored by the Skidompha Genealogy Group on Wednesday, May 30, 12:30-2 p.m. All members of the public are welcome to attend. A suggested donation of $5 will help support future genealogy programming.

Future topics of Skidompha Genealogy Group Roundtable Discussions include “Immigrant Ancestors’ New World Experiences,” June 7, 5:00-6:30 p.m. and June 20, 12:30-2 p.m.; and “Tales from your Ancestor’s Kitchen,” July 12, 5-6:30 p.m. and July 25, 12:30-2 p.m.
