The AOS 98 School Board has approved the nomination of Bob Webster as the interim superintendent of schools for AOS 98 from January 2 to June 29, 2018, according to Superintendent of Schools Eileen King.  

Webster served as the superintendent of schools in School Union 76, Deer Isle-Stonington from 1993 until his retirement in 2012. Since 2012, he has served as an interim superintendent in other districts.

“Bob has a strong understanding of the Union/AOS governance structure, school law and finance and looks forward to supporting  AOS 98 and the schools it serves as they conduct a full search for a superintendent of schools,” said King in an email.

Training workshop

The AOS 98 School Board will be conducting a training workshop with the executive director of MSMA on Jan. 11, 2018 at the Edgecomb Eddy School at 6 p.m. to discuss the search process for the new superintendent. The workshop will we open to the public, however, public comment will not be on the agenda.
