The Sylvan Gallery of Wiscasset has moved. No, it’s still in Wiscasset, but now it’s at 49 Water St.
Gallery owners Ann and Rick Scanlan say they’re thrilled with the new location — there’s more room for paintings.
New works by the group of New England artists represented at Sylvan Gallery are arriving daily. These artists include Stan Moeller, Greg Laderer, Shirley Cean Youngs, Heather Gibson Lusk, Robert Norieka and Ann.
The couple, also well known for their expertise in photography, first opened the doors to their art gallery in Clinton, Connecticut in 2001. They relocated to Wiscasset in May 2012.
Check out the new location, congratulate the Scanlans and lose yourself in the art within. Through May, the gallery is open Thursday through Monday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday by chance or appointment. As of June 1, the Sylvan Gallery will be open daily.
