Dear Editor:

After a year of fighting cancer with chemo and radiation, I am now cancer free.

Just a quick thank you to my family and friends, my brother Donny and Betty Wylie, sister Louise Lewis, Boothbay Baptist Church Pastor Steve Nash, who came to see me in the hospital and at home, my father Herb Mullen, neighbors Joe and Sue Gelarden. Thank you all for the kind words and our talks.

I also thank the Lord, Jesus Christ, but mostly my wife, Dawn — thank you. It was a hard battle but we made it.
