The Kefauver Studio & Gallery presents “The Garden Show,” the third art show of the 2017 season at the gallery. The show will run from July 28 through Aug. 13.

The show features the work of Will Kefauver’s 28 guest artists. All of the art in the show will celebrate the most beautiful blossoms and gardens of Midcoast. This show is the shortest of the season, and visitors are encouraged to come the gallery while the art is in full bloom!

Kefauver says, “It’s always fun to see the different ways that the artists interpret a theme. This show’s got all manner of flowers, but also brings in butterflies, berries, benches, and the odd watering can. Makes me feel like I ought to get planting.”

Seven of the guest artists are new to the gallery. They are oil painters Midge Coleman, Kim Hetherington, and Carol Wiley; watercolorist Kathy Lane and Cindy Spencer; photographer David Ripley; and mixed-media artist Lola Tang.

The other guest artists are acrylic artists Dale Dapkins, and DiTa Ondek; photographers Judy Bernier, Steve Dunn, Michael Fillyaw, Claudia Noyes Griffiths, and Jim Nyce; oil painters Marcia Brandwein, Julie Cyr, Judith Fisher, Hannah Ineson, Sally Loughridge, Brooke Pacy, and Marnie Sinclair; watercolorists Jan Kilburn and Elizabeth Palmer; pastel artists Pattie Leavitt and Nancy Lovley; print-maker Deborah Kozak; mixed-media artist Gil Barclay, and gouache artist Judy Nixon.

A reception will be held on the show’s opening day, Friday, July 28 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and there is free parking. Please come meet the guest artists presenting “The Garden Show.”

The Kefauver Studio & Gallery is located at 144 Bristol Road, Damariscotta, and is open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.
