Savory Maine invites the public to a reception to meet artist Lea Peterson on Friday, March 3, from 3-5 p.m. Savory Maine will provide delectable sweet and savory finger foods, and wine and beer will be available.

Says Peterson of her work, “The images from New England, its seashore, barrens, marshes, lakes and mountains. This is what inspires me most. I take what I see and try to convey the power, drama and emotion of it in my brush strokes, colors and compositions.”

Savory Maine is located at 11 Water Street, Damariscotta. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Monday; closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  The restaurant sources most of its food from Maine, and essentially all of it is organically grown, wild harvested, or grass fed.
