The Lincoln County Historical Association (LCHA) announces its first “It’s our History” contest.  Lincoln County residents between the ages of 10 to 13 and 14 to 18 years of age are invited to explore LCHA’s three historic sites and create a five to 10-minute video based on their research about the significance of the sites in the history of our county.

Participants may work on their own, or with a group. Each participant is limited to one entry.  To register, log on to the Lincoln County Historical Association’s website:  www.lincolncountyhistory.org.  Click on the link “Just for Kids” video contest and download the registration form.  Complete the form and mail it in by June 30.

The website contest page will also detail the guidelines. Videos will be judged on creativity, adherence to the guidelines, historical accuracy, and video quality.  Two $100 prizes will be awarded:  one for participants ages 10 -13, the other for ages 14- 18.  Winners will be announced at the Lincoln County Historical Association’s Summer Social on August 26.
