Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Five arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 249 calls between April 11 and April 17, and year to date, LCSO has responded to 4,423 calls for service.

Arrests

Jason M. Gallagher, 37, of Waldoboro was arrested April 12 on six Lincoln County warrants for Unpaid Fines, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.

Thomas L. Nichols, 50, of South China was arrested April 12 for Violating Condition of Release, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Detective Scott Hayden.

Nathan A. Peaslee, 28, of Dresden was arrested April 14 for Violating Condition of Release, on James Eddy Road, Dresden, by Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles, who was assisted by Sgt. Alan Shea.

Tanya N. York, 33, of Warren was arrested April 14 for Burglary and Assault, on Munsey Road, Jefferson, by Deputy First Class Brian Collamore.

Aaron H. Robinson, 38, of Warren was arrested April 14for Burglary and Criminal Threatening, on Munsey Road, Jefferson, by Deputy First Class Brian Collamore.

Accidents

On April 10, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Paige H. Nichols, 22, of Waldoboro. Ms. Nichols was operating her 2007 Subaru Legacy southbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.

On April 11, an accident occurred on Upper East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Leanna L. Bubier, 31, of Nobleboro. Ms. Bubier was operating her 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound when she observed a deer enter the roadway from the ditch and was struck. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On April 12, an accident occurred on U.S. Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Andrew W. Anthony, 52, of Parsonsfield and Lawrence Reed, 36, of Waldoboro. Mr. Anthony was operating his 2016 Volvo VHD truck southbound and Mr. Reed was operating his 2009 GMC Sierra also southbound and making left hand turn onto Winslow Hill Road. Anthony crossed the center line into the northbound lane to pass Reed’s vehicle when Reed made a left turn onto Winslow Hill Road.  As a result, Anthony struck Reed’s vehicle. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.

On April 14, an accident occurred on East Neck Road in Nobleboro involving Cece A. Verrier, 20, of Bristol. Ms. Verrier was operating her 2006 Toyota Scion southbound when she encountered a deer crossing the road. She swerved to avoid the deer and went off the road on the right side, striking a utility pole. The pole was snapped off and her vehicle sustained severe damage to the front end. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On April 15, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Sarah M. McLain, 22, of Damariscotta. Ms. McLain was operating her 2017 Chevrolet Equinox southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right side and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
