Two local artists are being featured on the walls of Atlantic Motorcar (AMC) from June to September: watercolorist Virginia Forrest and photographer Bruce Burnham.

Virginia Forrest is a native New Englander who has lived in Maine most of her adult life. She is active in the local art community. Forrest's work can be seen in many of the River Art shows in Damariscotta and the Boothbay Region Art Foundation in Boothbay Harbor, of which she is a member. Forrest's preferred mediums are watercolor and gouache to paint the Maine coast and her very own perennial gardens.

Bruce Burnham is a lifelong Boothbay area resident. Burnham has long had a love for photography and has been developing his skill for over 40 years. He is motivated by encouraging others to take photographs and show their photos. For a number of years he has been the chairperson for the Maine Photography Show. Burnham’s works have been exhibited at the Portland Museum of Art, the Harlow Gallery (Hallowell) and the Boothbay Region Art Foundation.

Atlantic Motorcar offers art space for artists creating with watercolor, print, acrylic, mixed media and/or print mediums. No commission or hanging fee is charged; the space is donated as a service and enrichment to the local art community and community at large.

AMC is located at 10 Ox Horn Road (off U.S. Route 1). Stop in during business hours Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and see these paintings and photographs displayed in the waiting room and halls at AMC.
