Local authors attend Fall Foliage Fest

Ten local authors from Maine Authors Publishing of Rockland will be attending the 48th annual Fall Foliage Festival on Oct. 10 and 11 for book signings.

“We are thrilled to be able to participate in this festival for the first time,” said Jane Karker, president of Maine Authors Publishing. “We love any opportunity to bring our authors and the local community together.”

The authors attending on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., are Jean Flahive of South Portland (“The Galloping Horses of Willowbrook”), Margaret Gousse of Yarmouth (“From Nana’s Window”), and Walt Christie of Brunswick (“Rising Above the Wave: Stoke and Tsunami in Japan 2011”); 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Jan Gilley of Camden (“Light on Jib Island”) and Francine McEwen (“Billy Big Ears and Bob the Bully” and “Susan’s Suitcase”); 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Deborah Gould of Brunswick (“The Eastern”) and Kathy Eliscu of Westbrook (“Not Even Dark Chocolate Can Fix This Mess”).

The authors attending on Sunday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., are Kelly Brooks-Bay of Orrington (The Rainbow Pants); 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Brooke Pacy of Waldoboro (“Vanishing Act”); 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Christopher Morin of Portland (“A Tale of Life & War” and “The Besieged”).

Along with the titles mentioned above, there will also be a variety of additional Maine Authors Publishing titles available for sale.
