Love Maine-Made? Check out these sampling events at Rising Tide

Rising Tide Community Market is currently offering its summer Member-Owner Appreciation Week, which started Saturday, Aug. 13 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 20. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend sampling events scheduled throughout the week.

On Thursday, Aug. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cameron Clan (Wiscasset) will have samples of their all-natural kettle corn. From 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Nordic Naturals will be offering samples of their of their best-selling sustainably-crafted fish-oil, and beginning at 3 p.m., the Jojoba Company of Waldoboro will be sampling their jojoba extract, which is processed locally and used as a skin nourishing, conditioning, and moisturizing product.

Looking for local snacks? Stop by the co-op Friday to talk to vendors and sample some Maine-made favorites. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fredrikson Farm of China, Maine will be at Rising Tide with their goat cheese. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Coppertail Farm of Waldoboro will give away free samples of their goat yogurt. Tortillería Pachanga of Portland will sample their corn tortillas from 3 to 5 p.m., and from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Rosario’s will offer samples of pesto, which is made just down the road in Bristol.

Kick-start your weekend spruce-up with samples from Gracefully Clean of Farmingdale, who makes locally-crafted chemical-free alternatives to commercial cleaners. They’ll be at Rising Tide between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. with free samples. 

Rising Tide Community Market is a natural food cooperative with 3,200+ member-owners located at 323 Main Street in Damariscotta. All sampling events and raffles are free and open to the community. Member-owners of Rising Tide are eligible to receive 10 percent off one shopping trip during the week, but everyone is welcome to shop.
