‘Macbeth’ auditions this weekend

Tue, 01/16/2018 - 4:00pm

Story Location:
33 Summer Street
Bath, ME 04530
United States

Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s shortest yet most powerful and beloved tragedies.

The Scottish king and his murderous queen are two of the most memorable characters in all of Shakespeare’s works. The characters and events are intense and bloody, driven by greed, ambition and the influences of the supernatural. Macbeth remains relevant even after 400 years, as it delves into our most archetypical, primal conflicts: the dance between good and evil, fate and choice, madness and sanity.  In these characters, we are shown the dark sides of our own psychology and desires and are left to question how far we would each go to obtain ultimate power.
