Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s (BRAF) current exhibit illustrates “July in Maine” from as many angles as there are artists.
This members’ show, representing 124 regional artists, also marks a milestone for the foundation: the 50th year of continuous operation as a nonprofit whose mission is to create opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy, learn from and participate in the visual arts.
BRAF has a few special events planned to coincide with the First Friday reception on July 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. including music by the Narrow Gauge String Band and announcing the raffle winner of the Lois Goldstone pastel entitled, “Birches by the Shore,” at 6:30 pm.
Last, but not least, the foundation will be offering the first chance to view and purchase “Color ME!,” BRAF’s own coloring book for all ages.
Located at 1 Townsend Avenue, BRAF is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The doors stay open later on many evenings during July and August in order to “make hay while the sun shines”!
