Mid-November classes at adult ed

Take a class at Boothbay Region Adult Ed to find out the eight most common mistakes people make with their money, and learn how to clean up computer files you no longer need as well as staying safe on the internet. Or be creative and make your own unique greeting cards.

When it comes to finances, how much do you know? In How Money Works learn how to avoid the eight most common mistakes people make with their money and basic; common sense financial concepts With knowledge you can easily overcome any fears, anxieties and obstacles. This class is interactive and informative and includes a book on personal finance. This class is on Nov. 9, 6-7:30 p.m. and the cost is $7.

Do you know where all your photos and files are stored on your PC? Are they easily accessible? Take Computer and Internet Cleanup and learn about the accumulated files, photographs and e-mails that are no longer needed. Unused files on your computer can eventually slow down your computer. And you probably don't have any idea how much stuff is downloaded to your computer from the internet. Learn to delete these files as well as how to clear the history The class meets on Nov. 13 and 15 from 6-8 p.m.. The fee is $28.

Create whimsical greeting cards for the holidays and other occasions, or pieces of art work in Linoleum Block Carving and Printing. In this three evening workshop you will learn the basic skills for linoleum block carving and printing. Take home a carved linoleum block (Soft Kut) and multiple prints. We will also use watercolor technique to further enhance their artwork (bring ideas for images on the first night of class either digitally or photos). Please register by Nov. 6. The class is on Nov. 9, 14 and 16, 6-9 p.m. The fee is $24, plus an $8 supply fee paid to instructor on first night of class.

Most classes need a minimum number of students to run so sign up early and bring a friend or two.
