The members of the Miles Memorial Hospital League Art Committee will hold an exhibition of their paintings in the Hospital Gallery, Lincoln Health Care Miles Campus, now through March 20. The exhibit is open to the public and a portion of the sales will go to benefit the hospital through the Miles Memorial Hospital League.

The group show will include works by Peggy Farrell, Deb Arter, Bob Vaughan, Julie Babb, Carol Smith, Judy Nixon, Denise Rankin, Virginia Forrest and Jan Kilburn. The paintings are very diverse, and include gouache, oils, watercolors and acrylics.

The Miles Art Committee is responsible for jurying and hanging the much-appreciated works at the hospital throughout the year. It also hangs artwork in patient rooms and care areas, as well as authorizing corporate purchases of artwork for the hospital’s public spaces. The committee usually meets twice a year.

Jurying for the entire year’s shows takes place in October. Although many members of the art committee are artists, it is not a requirement to serve. Anyone with a love and appreciation of art is welcome.
