Story Location:

A photographer and a mixed media photographer are showing their work on the walls of Atlantic Motorcar (AMC) until March. AMC offers art space for artists creating with watercolor, print, acrylic, photography, mixed media and/or print mediums. No commission or hanging fee is charged; the space is donated as a service and enrichment to the local art community and community at large.

The two artists who are being featured until March are, mixed media photographer, Rick Perry, and returning photographer, Michele Barker.

Lifelong photographer and mixed media artist Rick Perry spent 20 years as the executive chef at Hurricane Island Outward Bound program. Perry has won numerous photographic awards and his work has been displayed in many juried galleries. Many of his pieces include coastal and nature scenes.

A new world of adventure opened up for Michele Barker back in 2000 after receiving a Canon 35 mm as a gift, and she's been snapping images ever since. Barker has a certificate of graduation professional photography from the New York Institute of Photography since 2006. Many of her featured works in this exhibition reflect her favorite subject to focus on: wildlife.

AMC is delighted to have Rick Perry and Michele Barker display their work here. Stop in during business hours, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and browse their works in the waiting room and halls.

American Motorcar is located just off Route 1 at 10 Ox Horn Road in Wiscasset.
